Lakewood Urban Centre: compare the building as well as the home
The City calls this neighbourhood Lakewood Urban Centre; the listing feed used above calls it Lakewood S.C. The City’s profile records multi-unit housing, so compare the individual unit, building and ownership details rather than assuming this is a detached-house search.
The City’s neighbourhood map identifies Herold Road, Herold Terrace, Slimmon Road, Slimmon Place and Pawlychenko Lane, along with Trounce Pond and Hyde Park. Use the actual property address to compare your route to those places; a neighbourhood name does not establish walking distance.

What to check when comparing Lakewood condos and townhomes
- Fees and inclusions: confirm the fee amount and payment period, then ask which utilities or services it covers. Compare the complete monthly cost, not just the mortgage payment.
- Parking and storage: confirm the stall location, whether parking and storage are included, and any separate charges or use restrictions.
- The unit and building: compare floor level, stairs or elevator access, outdoor space, heating and cooling, and the condition of common areas.
- Documents and rules: ask for the relevant condominium documents and clarify any restrictions that affect your intended use, including pets and alterations.
A listing’s building type does not establish its ownership or fee obligations. Confirm those details for each property before comparing your shortlist.
The calculator prices are planning examples. Enter the actual home price, taxes and applicable condo fees before comparing estimates.
Selling a Lakewood home
Start with comparable homes in the same complex or a similar building when available, then compare layout, floor level, parking, condition and fees. A city-wide house average is a poor substitute for that comparison. Gather your unit details, available condominium documents and records of improvements so buyers can assess what is included.
